Helper Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the BreadSMP Staff Team as a Helper! We're looking for dedicated, responsible individuals who are passionate about creating a positive and welcoming environment for our community. Before you begin, please review the requirements and guidelines below.

About the Helper Role

At BreadSMP, Helpers are trial moderators who work alongside our staff team to maintain a safe, fun, and respectful environment for all players. The Helper position is a one-month trial period where you'll learn the ropes of moderation, demonstrate your capabilities, and show us you're ready for a full staff position. We're looking for mature, patient individuals who genuinely care about helping other!

What Helpers Do:

Assist players with questions and issues in-game and on Discord.
Monitor chat and enforce server rules fairly and consistently.
Report rule violations and suspicious activity to senior staff.
Welcome new players and help them get started.
Provide a positive presence in the community.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must have a clean record (no recent bans, mutes, or warnings).
Must be available for regular activity (at least 10-15 hours per week).
Must have an active Discord presence.
Must be mature, responsible, and level-headed.
Must have good communication skills and a friendly attitude.
Must be able to handle conflicts calmly and professionally.

Helper Guidelines

Do's:

Treat all players with respect and fairness.
Follow all server rules and lead by example.
Communicate with the staff team regularly.
Ask for help when you're unsure about a situation.
Keep staff discussions and information confidential.
Be patient and understanding with players.
Document important incidents and rule violations.

Don'ts:

Abuse your helper permissions or authority.
Show favoritism toward friends or specific players.
Share staff information or tools with non-staff members.
Make major moderation decisions without consulting senior staff.
Argue with players in public chat.
Be inactive without notifying the staff team.
Use your position for personal gain or advantage

Trial Period

The Helper role is a one-month trial position. During this time, you will:

Receive training and mentorship from experienced staff members.
Learn our moderation tools, commands, and procedures.
Demonstrate your ability to handle various situations.
Show consistent activity and dedication.
Prove you can work well with the team.

At the end of the trial period:

Staff will evaluate your performance and dedication.
Successful Helpers will be promoted to Moderator.
If the role isn't a good fit, we'll part ways respectfully.
You can reapply after 60 days if not accepted.

Application Process

What to Expect:

Applications are reviewed within 3-5 business days.
Selected applicants may be contacted for a brief interview.
Our management team will reach out via Discord with questions or a decision.
Accepted Helpers will receive orientation, training materials, and access to staff channels.

Important Notes

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
We review each application carefully to assess maturity, reliability, and fit with our team.
Being denied does not reflect poorly on you—we have limited positions available.
You may reapply after 60 days if your application is not accepted.
We reserve the right to deny applications without providing specific reasons.
The trial period can be extended or shortened based on performance.
