About the Event Team Role
At BreadSMP, the Event Team is responsible for planning, organizing, and hosting engaging events that bring our community together. From PvP tournaments and building competitions to scavenger hunts and seasonal celebrations, our Event Team creates the moments that make BreadSMP special. We're looking for imaginative, detail-oriented individuals who love making experiences that players will remember!
What Event Team Members Do:
- Plan and design creative events and activities for the community.
- Organize logistics including scheduling, rules, and prizes.
- Host and manage events in real-time.
- Promote events through announcements and social media.
- Gather feedback and improve future events.
- Collaborate with other staff members on larger projects.
- Keep the community engaged with regular activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 14 years old.
- Must have good organizational and time management skills.
- Must be available to host events regularly (at least 2-3 times per month).
- Must have an active Discord presence.
- Must be creative and able to develop original event ideas.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Must have good communication and public speaking skills.
- Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines.
Event Team Guidelines
Do's:
- Communicate clearly with the team about event plans and schedules.
- Plan events well in advance with proper preparation.
- Be punctual and present for events you're hosting.
- Listen to player feedback and adapt accordingly.
- Collaborate with other team members and share ideas.
- Promote events enthusiastically to build participation.
- Document event outcomes and lessons learned.
- Be flexible when things don't go as planned
Don'ts:
- Schedule events without consulting the team calendar.
- Cancel or no-show for events you've committed to hosting.
- Play favorites when selecting winners or distributing prizes.
- Host events that could be considered inappropriate or offensive.
- Ignore player concerns or feedback during events.
- Take on too many events without being able to deliver.
- Share confidential event plans or surprises prematurely.
- Use your position to gain unfair advantages in events
Application Process
Click the "Event Team Application" link below to begin your application. Take your time and answer all questions honestly and thoroughly. We want to learn about your creativity, event ideas, and what makes you excited about bringing fun to our community!
What to Expect:
- Applications are reviewed within 3-5 business days.
- Our Event Team leads will reach out via Discord with questions or a decision.
- Accepted members will receive access to event planning resources and the team Discord channel.
Important Notes
- Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
- We review each application carefully to assess creativity, reliability, and enthusiasm.
- Being denied does not reflect poorly on you—we select members based on current team needs.
- You may reapply after 60 days if your application is not accepted.
- We reserve the right to deny applications without providing specific reasons.
- Event Team members are expected to maintain regular activity or risk removal from the team
